Creating award winning short content is not easy. But it can be done and in a month, you will have the tools to do so! Weather you are a filmmaker, actor, business owner or media professional, this course will give you the ABC, of telling poignant stories, cinematically and succinctly. Join us for our next edition of the Filmmaker Bootcamp. Breakfast is included.This 4-week workshop will teach you the steps of crafting stories with light, camera, movement and actors. Each week, we will cover a specific, topic where you can learn in depth the ins and outs of the production process led by local filmmaker Freddy Rodriguez.

Freddy Rodriguez has been writing and directing film and videos for more than 17 years. Based in Miami, Florida, along with his production company, 66 Films, Inc., he counts numerous film shorts, TV commercials, promos, corporate films, documentary shorts, and branding videos among his credits. In the early 2000’s, Freddy cut his teeth on producing promos and movie trailers at Manhattan Transfer/Miami, where he produced content for Lifetime Network, Bravo Network, MTV Latino, and several Pay Per View channels. In 2003, Freddy joined the NBC/Universal team as a Senior Promotions Producer. While at NBC/Univeral he garnered 15 EMMY® nominations, 7 EMMY® wins, 3 PromaxBDA Gold and 3 PromaxBDA Silver awards for his branding and promo work. In 2011 Freddy opened 66 Films, Inc., and has produced a variety of TV commercials and branding work for: Disney, Norwegian Cruise Lines, Maaco, Meineke, The Miami Dolphins, The United Way, Bank United, Passport Magazine, Visit Florida, Jungle Island, Simon and Schuster, and Noelle et Filles. Freddy's most recent accomplishment is writing, directing, shooting, scoring and editing the short film Fire, which was an “Official Selection” at The Damn These Heels Film Festival, and at The Miami Independent Film Festival. Fire also won the Best Actor award at FilmGate’s NOLA competition in May 2016 and was a Semi-Finalist at Miami Short Film Festival. Freddy also shot, directed and edited Miles Windsor’s music video You’ll Never Know, which was an “Official Selection” at over 15 International film festivals and garnered three “Award of Merit”.
