The Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant- Capital Partnership Grants

The Andy Warhol Foundation Arts Writers Grant supports emerging and established writers who write about contemporary visual art. Ranging from $15,000 to $50,000 in three categories—articles, books, and short-form writing—the grants support projects addressing both general and specialized art audiences, from short reviews for magazines and newspapers to in-depth scholarly studies. The grant also supports art writing that engages criticism through interdisciplinary methods and experiments with literary styles. As long as a writer meets the eligibility and publishing requirements, they can apply. The Arts Writers Grant was founded in recognition of both the financially precarious situation of arts writers and their indispensable contribution to a vital artistic culture. The program is administered by Creative Capital.

If you believe your organization’s funding needs fit within the Foundation’s Guidelines, consider submitting a Letter of Inquiry (LOI). Should your organization have several needs, applicants are encouraged to propose projects that are a priority for the organization and best match our funding requirements and areas of investment focus. If your letter results in an invitation to submit a full proposal, we will contact you. Typically, the LOI review process will take between four and six weeks. For LOIs requesting funding for New England projects or programs, Fidelity Foundation reviews LOIs three times this year: March, June, and October.
