Grethel Castillo

Director, producer, and screenwriter with experience in film, advertising, and music video projects developed in Cuba, Mexico, and the United States. Her work has been recognized at prestigious film festivals, earning awards for short films such as Lie to Me Well Jackie Chang, Yemayá, and Oshun.Passionate about conveying a message through each project, her work stands out for its innovative vision and constant exploration of new ways of storytelling and understanding cinema. Her versatility across different artistic disciplines has allowed her to experiment with diverse languages and create audiovisual pieces for both national and international artists.With a solid background in the industry, she has directed and produced content for various agencies and production companies in Mexico and the United States. She is currently developing her first feature film, further consolidating her career within the contemporary film landscape.

Alvaro is a Miami, FL native. A veteran of the US Army and a graduate of the University of Miami MFA program. Aspires to be a screenwriter and director. Currently am adjunct film professor at Miami Dade College and a Stage Manager at N+Univision.
