In Module 2 of our Youth Filmmaker Summer Bootcamp, young artists will will create a short documentary, a podcast episode and will even learn how to use generative AI in their projects. All equipment, materials, breakfast and lunch are included.

Are you a parent seeking to have your teen acquire team skills, leadership abilities, and the opportunity to create short films/podcasts with new friends ALL IN ONE SUMMER? Then our Youth Filmmaker Summer Bootcamp is for you!
FilmGate Miami presents an exciting program tailored for budding filmmakers and podcasters aged 13-18. Dive into a transformative four-week journey ending with 3 short films and one captivating podcast.
No prior experience is required—all students with a passion for storytelling are welcome to join us! Breakfast, lunch, and gear will be provided.
FilmGate summer camp graduates unlock the opportunity to intern at FilmGate Miami and possibly partake in part-time, paid opportunities, if available.
Module 2 focuses on Documentaries and Podcasting. This section will teach students how to put together a documentary, including the basics of shooting interviews, editing sound, archival footage, and documentary film editing. They will also develop their skills in podcast production by recording and editing their own podcast under the guidance of our fantastic instructors.

Faculty List
Diliana Alexander is the Executive Director of FilmGate Miami. Diliana Alexander studied Economics, Finance and International Relations at McGill University and later the University of Toronto. She completed her MFA in Film Production at the Miami International University of Art and Design. Diliana began her career in Canada as a producer, where she worked for CBC, HGTV, the Learning Channel and Showtime. She is especially interested in the convergence of art, science and technology. She also taught film at Florida International University and directed a feature film based on the young adult novel NARC, written by Florida book award winner Crissa Jean Chappell. She is also the writer/producer and director of Stiltsville VR.
Matt Walter (a.k.a. IAMMETHISISI)
Matt Walter (a.k.a. IAMMETHISISI), a lifelong Miami resident, is a generative artist who has spent over four years exploring the intersection of algorithms and art. His creations, which have garnered millions of views and captivated over 170k Instagram followers, strive to push the boundaries of art through innovative use of technology. Beyond his personal work, he has collaborative projects including a music video for the supergroup band L.S. Dunes (Old Wounds), promotional work for comedian Tony Hinchcliffe & his podcast, Kill Tony (the #1 live podcast in the world), and video art installations for Jimbo’s
