Founder & CEO
Diliana Alexander
Diliana Alexander is the Executive Director of FilmGate Miami. Diliana Alexander studied Economics, Finance and International Relations at McGill University and later the University of Toronto. She completed her MFA in Film Production at the Miami International University of Art and Design.
Diliana began her careers in Canada as a producer, where she worked for CBC, HGTV, the Learning Channel and Showtime. She is especially interested in the convergence of art, science and technology. She also teaches film at Florida International University and is directing a feature film based on the young adult novel NARC, written by Florida book award winner Crissa Jean Chappell.

Creative Director
Christopher Irarrazabal
Christopher Anthony Irarrazabal is a graduate of Miami Dade College where he did his Bachelors in Film Production. His web-series ”Basketball Friends" showcased a comedic and surrealistic look at friendship in Miami. His short film "McClintock" aired on the PBS "Film-maker" program in January 2018, showcasing the best of South Floridian filmmakers. Along with many Instagram & YouTube skits and Music Videos, Chris has produced a lot of content ranging from Comedy, Drama, Horror to Experimental films. In 2020 his film "Alexa Off" was selected in the 37th Miami Film Festival. He is currently the Creative Director at Filmgate Miami.
