Youth Filmmaker Summer Bootcamp

FilmGate Miami returns with a reimagined summer program for the creation of short films, documentaries, and podcasts.

FilmGate Miami presents an exciting program tailored for budding filmmakers and podcasters aged 13-18. Dive into a transformative four-week journey ending with 3 short films and one captivating podcast.

No prior experience is required — all students with a passion for storytelling are welcome to join us! Breakfast, lunch, and gear will be provided.

Module 1 focuses on Narrative Films. Students will learn everything they need to know about the filmmaking process from pre-production to post production. Through hands-on learning, they will gain valuable skills and practice them by shooting & editing their own projects.

Module 2 focuses on Documentaries and Podcasting. This section will teach students how to put together a documentary, including the basics of shooting interviews, editing sound, archival footage, and documentary film editing. They will also develop their skills in podcast production by recording and editing their own podcast under the guidance of our fantastic instructors.

Enrollment is open for General Admission (Includes Modules 1 & 2), Module 1, and Module 2.
