TRANSPORTATION

Freebee

Freebee is a free on-demand electric shuttle service that operates in several neighborhoods in Miami, including Downtown Miami and Miami Beach. It’s a convenient option for short trips around the area. Monday - Sunday: 10am - 10pm

You can request a ride using the Freebee mobile app. After requesting a ride, a nearby driver will pick you up and take you to your destination within the designated service zone.

Freebee vehicles are small electric carts that can carry multiple passengers and operate similarly to a rideshare service, but at no cost. Since the service runs within specific areas, it’s best used for short trips between venues, hotels, restaurants, and nearby attractions in Downtown and Miami Beach.

Water Taxi

Water Taxi is a free ferry service connecting Miami Beach and Downtown Miami, offering a scenic way to travel across Biscayne Bay. It links South Beach (near South Pointe Park) with Bayside Marketplace in Downtown Miami, making it a convenient option for visitors moving between the beach and the city center.

The service operates on a regular schedule throughout the day, with boats departing from both sides at set times. The ride takes about 10 to 15 minutes, providing views of the Miami skyline, PortMiami, and Biscayne Bay along the way.

Passengers can board at the designated docks in South Beach and Bayside, and the ferry operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so it’s recommended to arrive a few minutes early during busy periods.

The Water Taxi is a comfortable and unique alternative to crossing the causeway by car or rideshare, and it offers a quick connection between Downtown Miami’s entertainment district and the beaches of Miami Beach.
