Does your teen love movies, storytelling, acting, editing, or podcasts? Do they dream of seeing their name in the credits — or want to learn how to turn their imagination into something real?
This summer, give them the chance to step onto a real creative path. Welcome to FilmGate Miami’s Youth Filmmaker Summer Bootcamp — South Florida’s most dynamic hands-on film and media experience for teens ages 13–18.
At FilmGate, students don’t just sit in a classroom and learn about filmmaking. They write, direct, act, shoot, edit, interview, record, and create alongside award-winning filmmakers, working editors, and industry mentors. Every day is active, collaborative, and designed to help young creators grow their skills and confidence.
By the end of the summer, your teen will walk away with: 🎥 Original co-produced short films 🎙️ A fully produced podcast (Module 2 participants) 🎬 A big-screen showcase at FilmGate Free-For-All Festival on August 26th at Silverspot Cinema in Downtown Miami 📜 A FilmGate Certificate of Completion ✨ And the confidence of someone who knows their voice matters |

Choose One Module — or Do Both |
🎞️ Module 1: Narrative Films (June 15 – 26, 2026)
Students explore screenwriting, acting, directing, cinematography, and editing while creating their own original short films.
🎙️ Module 2: Documentaries & Podcasting (July 20 – July 31, 2026)
Students dive into interview-based storytelling, real-world topics, podcast production, and documentary filmmaking. |
