Myriam Achard

Best of Fest Juror

Myriam Achard is the voice and face of PHI internationally. Her mission is twofold: to promote the development of local and international artistic avant-garde, while paving the way for new creators.

Since 2006, she has worked with Phoebe Greenberg to promote PHI's creative impulse, driven by an ambitious message: to develop and promote artistic innovation in the world. Thanks to its efforts, the group today occupies a prominent place in the artistic avant-garde, both as producer and distributor. PHI exports its creative impulse to three continents, from New York to Tokyo, via Venice.
As head of new media partnerships and public relations, Myriam Achard travels the world in search of the most innovative and immersive works in order to present them in Montreal.

Nelly Gocheva

Nelly has 15+ years of experience developing media brands and creative strategies within start-ups and legacy brands across North America, Europe and Asia. Through the years, she's held senior positions at Soho House, The New York Times, Monocle Magazine and currently – Apple. Organizations and brands she's worked with on consultancy and brand-marketing partnerships include Nike, Airbnb, LVMH, L’Oréal, Rimowa, Burberry, Chanel, UBS, Credit Suisse, Samsung, BMW, Korean Air, Singapore Tourism Board, the City of Rio de Janeiro, Wunderman Thompson and Diet Coke.

Jennifer Farah

She is a design innovator whose career has been focused on leading and teaching the development of sustainable, participatory technologies that scale for great impact.

Most recently, Jennifer built a leading edge food technology company, SproutsIO Inc., where she was recognized through selection as a Wired Innovation Fellow, INK Fellow and Cartier Women’s Initiative Finalist, among other accolades.

Along the way she has worked for large scale firms and institutions like Arquitectonica Intl. and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, was a partner in the research and design studio fluxxlab that advanced innovative energy solutions, in addition to being selected as a resident artist at Eybeam Art & Technology Center. Jennifer taught design and sustainability courses as faculty at Columbia University, CUNY and Pratt Institute and she continues to give talks internationally.

Jennifer’s work has been featured in such publications as Bloomberg Pursuits, Wall Street Journal Magazine, Vogue, Financial Times, Elle Décor, Wired Magazine, Popular Science, NPR, Fast Company, Metropolis Magazine and GOOD Magazine.

Kim Grinfeder
 

Florida Juror

Kim Grinfeder is a multidisciplinary media maker and designer who uses emergent technologies to practice new ways to communicate social and environmental issues. He is an associate professor at the University of Miami and chairs the Department of Interactive Media. He leads the University XR initiative and is the Director of Creative Computing at the Institute for Data Science and Computing.

Priscilla Delannay is the co-founder and artistic director of the Nouveaux Regards Film Festival in Guadeloupe since 2017. This festival is the first in the Caribbean to explore the fresh and innovative new approach to creating and experiencing cinema through immersive and interactive projects (3D, VR …)

She graduated with a degree in cultural heritage preservation and development, has several years of experience in the philanthropic fields in the areas of sustainable development, and cultural engagement working as a strategist for many events such as music festival, art exhibitions…

In 2008, she joined the film festival field as a member of several programming teams. After working for the FEMI film festival as the general delegate where she enjoyed programming popular films as well as auteur films for a more cinephile audience, she co founded the festival Nouveaux Regards which quickly became one  of the most popular and growing film festival in the Caribbean.

She is a restless film lover since her very early years and loves films for their emotional transformational powers and ability to transport us to a new world or new dimension.

Adrian Baschuk

Adrian Baschuk is a Founding Partner & CCO of Ethernity Chain, a leading NFT platform issuing licensed NFT assets across fields, notable figures, and mediums including art, AR/VR, and virtual world integrations. He is a Co-Founder a Crypto Banter, a daily livestream of the overall crypto community and Producer of CNBC’s “Crypto Trader,” the world’s first major network broadcast program on blockchain and crypto currencies.

He was formerly a Producer and Correspondent  covering war zones and disaster areas CNN, MSNBC, & Discovery Digital based in Jerusalem covering the Iraq War, the Syria refugee crisis, North Korea, and more. He was on the founding team starting Current TV based in San Francisco which led him to start his full circle mission bridging tech and media - now fully realized with the promise of the NFT space. Adrian is a Miami Beach native, graduate of Miami Country Day School and Tufts University with a B.A. in International Relations and Communications/Media Studies.

An experienced, versatile creative leader with 20 years’ experience producing and successfully launching award-winning innovative storytelling and music projects, through a variety of mediums. From Technicolor (Beyond The Black Rainbow), MPC (Life of Pi), GMH VR (founded with creator/visionary Tyler Hurd), Intel Studios (VR Volumetric music experiences Runnin' with Reggie Watts) and EA Create Capture before joining Departure Lounge. Departure Lounge is a Vancouver based Metaverse focused company pioneering tools, technology, and immersive creative projects. Adam is now Head of Studio and VP of Creative for Departure Lounge, which includes Metastage Vancouver.

Emma Chiu

Most Innovative Experience Juror

Emma Chiu is global director of Wunderman Thompson Intelligence, the agency’s in-house futures and innovation think-tank. She consults with clients to build long-term strategies based on qualitative and quantitative insight that incorporates cultural and behavioral change, sector innovation and zeitgeist shifts.

 Emma’s foresight and thought leadership has been picked up by global publications and has been featured in The Telegraph, New York Magazine and Vogue. She is a member of the WARC Awards and Creativepool 2020 judging panel. In addition, Emma regularly speaks at conferences including SXSW, Adobe Max and Pause Fest.

Lindsay Grace

Most Innovative Experience Juror

Lindsay is an awarded game designer, developer, author and professor. He is the Knight Chair in Interactive Media and an associate professor at the University of Miami School of Communication. He is Vice President for the Higher Education Video Game Alliance and the 2019 recipient of the Games for Change Vanguard award. Lindsay's book, Doing Things with Games, Social Impact through Design, is a well-received guide to game design. In 2020, he edited and authored Love and Electronic Affection: a Design Primer on designing love and affection in games.>>
