Joanna Popper

Joanna Popper is a forward-thinking executive and board director who drives innovation, scale, and leading through disruption across business transformation, AI, immersive technology, and brand strategy. She brings three decades of experience driving growth and impact across media, entertainment, news, sports, technology, consumer electronics, strategy consulting & Wall Street. Her work is defined by a global, cross-industry perspective on future-facing strategy, digital transformation, and organizational 10x growth.

She was Chief Metaverse Officer at Creative Artists Agency (CAA.). She joined CAA from HP where she was Global Head of XR, Go-To-Market leading teams to build award-winning new VR technology. She was EVP of Media & Marketing at Singularity University and VP Marketing at NBCUniversal Telemundo. She's currently advising media companies on Innovation including AI, gaming, advising tech companies on entertainment, advising start-ups and serving on Boards.

She is on the Producer's Guild National Board and Innovation Chair, Television Academy's Emerging Media Executive Committee and AI Task Force Lead, Filmgate Interactive Board of Directors, Metaphysic AI Board Observer (acquired by DNEG), Unity Software Charitable Fund Advisory Board.

She was executive producer for “Breonna’s Garden,” VR + AR experiences created by Lady PheOnix, Sutu and Breonna Taylor’s family to honor her life (Tribeca, SXSW, Art Basel). Winner: 2 Auggie Awards, Best Social Impact at Art Basel/ Filmgate Interactive, PGA Innovation Finalist, Aurea Award, Unity Award. She's an EP on award-winning AI short films "Project 2029," "Tormented," "DICE."
