Paula Andrea Gonzalez
Paula Andrea Gonzalez-Nasser was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia. She attended the Florida State University, College of Motion Picture Arts, where she assisted Spirit Award-winning director Antonio Mendez-Esparza in her last semester. After graduating, she assisted Academy Award Winning Producer Adele Romanski and Sara Murphy on Barry Jenkins’ “If Beale Street Could Talk” as well as Youree Henley and Sofia Coppola on Coppola’s upcoming film “On The Rocks”, which will mark Apple and A24’s first partnership. She has also worked as a location scout on numerous films and television shows such as Netflix’s “Wormwood” and “Russian Doll”, Eliza Hittman’s latest feature “Never, Rarely, Sometimes, Always” and HBO’s “High Maintenance”.
In 2016, Paula founded 5TH FLOOR PICTURES, a Brooklyn and Florida-based collective that produces short and feature-length films. Since then, her collective has produced numerous award-winning shorts and currently have three features in development. She is currently preparing to direct her second narrative short film, “Limestone” in Miami, FL.
