ATOMS & BITS

Atoms & Bits is a real-time audiovisual music installation. Visitors step on stage holding a guitar and instantly appear on a large screen inside the Atoms & Bits universe as a new band member. Using full-body motion capture and face capture, their avatar moves, sings, and performs live alongside Atoms and Bits as the band plays their hit single, “My Online Friend!”

The song’s lyrics appear in a bold, karaoke-style sequence, inviting participants to sing along and literally embody the message. The experience turns digital literacy into performance—playful, loud, and embodied. By becoming part of the band, visitors don’t just hear the song’s warning about online deception—they perform it, feel it, and remember it.
