Temporal Strata

TEMPORAL STRATA is a fulldome work by Ping-Sheng Wu, produced by FPA.
Built through generative visual systems and spatial sound, the piece uses fractal recursion, cellular processes, and phase displacement to organize image and audio across an immersive field. The composition is shaped by dome acoustics and geometric constraints, extending Wu’s research into temporal organization within spatial environments.
At its core, Temporal Strata explores time not as a linear sequence, but as a living structure — a continuous folding of existence within itself. Each layer is not a record of the past, but a renewal of the present.
Drawing from Buddhism and Kabbalah, the work frames time as consciousness in motion. In Buddhism, every instant contains all instants; in Kabbalah, time emerges as light moves through the Sephiroth — a pulse of creation.
Through fractals, cellular automata, and quantum oscillations, these metaphysical ideas are translated into a visible process: time as recursion, entropy as breath, existence as an unfolding simulation.
