ABOUT THE PROJECT

A genre-bending sci-fi musical where hip-hop meets meme culture in a clout-obsessed future. In a world where “likes” equal power and influence means survival, one fame-hungry underdog battles through rap duels, family drama, and a ruthless fame-obsessed system to discover who he really is.

Inspired by a viral AI-assisted song that captured a cultural flashpoint, BBL Drizzy blends original music, sharp satire, and audience-triggered storytelling into a bold, interactive dome experience exploring ambition.

THE STORY

interactive satirical sci-fi “Hero’s Journey” MEETS BLACK MIRROR: BANDERSNATCH

ACT I: From the Block to the Blast

In the clout-obsessed Slumps, J’Rue hustles for online likes, posting, performing, and doing what it takes to support his mom. But one night, something shifts. A surreal vision pulls him out of his everyday grind and launches him into the unknown.

 

ACT II: Sky Castles & Crossroads

J’Rue wakes up in the secret palace of the Baddies and discovers he’s not just anyone—he’s royalty, and possibly destined for more. Just as he learns that his long-lost father, King Jabari, is still alive, he’s pulled into another twist. This time, the audience takes control.

Will J’Rue step into his purpose or walk away? He could:

• Rescue his mom from a collapsing world

• Win a life-changing music battle and earn Reddesha’s trust

• Train to scale Mt. Cloutmanjaro and face the system head-on

Every choice reshapes the story—and the audience decides.

 

ACT III: Death, Rebirth & Real Clout

J’Rue must pass the ultimate soul trial—no performances, no masks, just truth. Through music, memory, and love, he transforms. Returned and renewed, J’Rue leads a new era, where realness is the mark of influence—authentic clout only.

Driven by his desire to provide for his mother and escape the trenches, he faces moral and personal dilemmas in an exploration of ambition. WORLD BUILDING

CAPLANTA is futuristic planet of ecological harmony. A planet where Clout, a fungal-like resource, thrives through generations of reciprocal care between its people and the land. This sacred covenant mirrors Indigenous agricultural systems, emphasizing balance and sustainability.

 

GOON is a desolate planet where the Opps ancestors, exiled from Jinobili, were sent to perish. Through resilience and adaptation, they survived, evolving into a formidable society. Their narrative challenges perceptions of villainy, highlighting themes of survival, injustice, and the quest for dignity.

 

JINOBILI, once a thriving planet, succumbed to environmental degradation. King Jabari's efforts to restore balance were thwarted by the Opps' invasion, leading to the planet's demise. Jinobili serves as a stark reminder of the repercussions of ecological neglect.

THEMES

Themes of Fame, Family, and Identity

At its core, BBL Drizzy explores the price of fame in a world where influence equals worth and authenticity becomes hidden. J’Rue’s pursuit of clout mirrors real-world struggles around validation, visibility, and connection. As he uncovers a complicated family legacy—especially his estranged father’s role in the very system he’s trying to beat—the story deepens. The tension between ambition and belonging pushes him to confront not just the world around him, but the truths within.

In doing so, BBL Drizzy calls on us to reflect deeply, question what we hold dear, and choose what truly matters.

INTERACTIONS

We’re designing the interaction system so every choice is made through mobile input — fast, intuitive, proven technology and deeply felt inside the dome.

 

The audience POV is omniscient and anchored through Fatima, who guides them as a collective force shaping outcomes and shifting the world from within.

 

Branch Narrative Example: At the climax, Fatima invites the audience to unlock a hidden memory — choosing between J’Rue, Momz, Reddesha, or Sus.

 

The scene that follows changes based on whose past they uncover, revealing secrets that reshape the story’s emotional core.

PRODUCTION

We’re producing a 3D animated, interactive dome film built in Unreal Engine 5 and rendered in 360° for dome projection.

 

The final experience features branching narrative triggered by live audience voting, using a lightweight, browser-based system powered by cables.gl.

UNREAL ENGINE: Expanding Interactive Storytelling into Domes

Cinematic-Quality Pre-Rendering

All environments and characters are created and animated in Unreal Engine 5, then rendered in 360° fisheye using the OWL plugin to deliver high-fidelity dome-ready sequences.

 

Real-Time Interactivity

Audience choices are captured through mobile voting and seamlessly executed in real time via cables.gl, which triggers pre-rendered UE sequences to branch the story.

 

AI-Enhanced Workflow

We are developing a modular AI pipeline within Unreal Engine to accelerate world building, animation preparation, and branching design—sharing this tool with the Unreal community to address a known gap in AI and Unreal Engine (UE) production.

 

Scalable and Reproducible

The pipeline is designed to scale across 2,000+ domes and planetariums, positioning Unreal Engine as the standard for immersive theater distribution worldwide.
